T1EHL congratulates former Los Angeles Jr. King, Colton Huard, on his commitment to attend and play NCAA Division I hockey at the University of New Hampshire following his junior career.

Huard tweeted: “I am extremely proud and excited to announce my commitment to play college hockey at the University of New Hampshire. Thank you to all my friends, family, coaches and teammates that have helped me along the way! #gowildcats

A 2000-born defenseman, Huard is in his second season patrolling the blue line for the United States Hockey League’s Chicago Steel where he’s totaled two goals and 10 assists through 25 games.

Huard’s father, Bill, is a former NHL forward who played one game with the Los Angeles Kings in 1999-00.

Led by head coach Mike Souza, New Hampshire competes in Hockey East.

T1EHL is proud of all of Huard and all of its players who continue to advance in the ranks of hockey. Where do you go from here? Everywhere.
