3 Former LA Jr. Kings Selected in USPHL NCDC Draft

T1EHL is excited to announce that three former Los Angeles Jr. Kings - forward Gabe Shipper and defensemen Wyatt Allan and Bryan McLachlan - were selected in this year’s USPHL National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) Draft/

The 2001-born Shipper, who this past season played at Pennsylvania’s Hill School, was chosen by the Maine-based Twin City Thunder, while the 2001-born Allan, who skated for the Ontario Jr. Hockey League’s Brantford 99ers last season, was picked by the Utica Jr. Comets. The 2002-born McLachlan (pictured), who played at Massachusetts' Groton School in 2019-20, was selected by the Boston Jr. Bruins.

Players eligible for the draft were born in the years 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 and not already on USPHL protected lists.

Founded in 2012, the USPHL is comprised of more than 550 teams from across the country, fielding more than 11,000 players in more than 100 organizations with player ages ranging from 6 to 21.

Situated in the Northeastern United States, the USPHL’s NCDC is a tuition-free junior hockey division geared towards NCAA Division I collegiate development placement and beyond. The NCDC also ices Premier and Elite divisions.
